Dr. Fayazuddin Ghiasi is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. Over 18 years of experience in the Afghanistan government and privet sector, such as Director General for trade policy and commercial attaché of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in the Embassy of Afghanistan in Dushanbe, organized various national and international exhibitions and business forums for the development of trade and commerce in Afghanistan, facilitated trade and transit for the business community within the region and further to enhance transit and communication. As a senior researcher, published more than 25 papers and presented seminars on the Strategic Role of Afghanistan in connecting Central Asia to South Asia , Afghanistan and Central Asia transit and connectivity, economic corridors such as Lapis Lazuli corridors, Wakhan corridors, Trans Afghanistan, Afghanistan ,Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan trilateral agreements on trade and transit, Afghanistan diplomatic approach to Central Asia ,role of Chabahar and Gwadar ports in connecting South to Central Asia and many more.
